Amydrium medium is an aroid of the Araceae family. Just like its cousins in the Monstera family, they are climbers, that’s why they grow a lot of long and sturdy aerial roots. They do this for extra support when climbing trees in nature.
These plants prefer lots of indirect sunlight. More exposure to light will result in bigger leaves with more fenestration. The Amydrium plants prefer high humidity, but they can tolerate humidity levels above 40%. A large Amydrium will require more water to keep its leaves in an upright position. When they start to droop, you know it’s time for a drink.
This plant is the go-to plant for any plant lover, beginning or more experienced.
