Cercestis mirabilis is a rare aroid part of the family of Araceae.

The genus Cercestis distinguishes itself with beautiful bi-colored maculate (blemished) leaves which show distinctive perforations in the adult specimens. The species is a climber, sprouting aerial roots when growing. The adult blades of Cercestis mirabilis divide to the midrib and appear somewhat like some of the members of the more commonly collected subfamily Monsteroideae (Rhaphidophora, Epipremnum, etc.)
These plants prefer subdued light with approximately 60% shade. They require high humidity, by preference above 85%.
This plant is a slow grower and will require some extra care, but it will give a striking addition to a plant interior.
